Acworth, GA – Car Crash with Injuries at GA-92 & Hunt Rd Intersection

Acworth, GA (January 11, 2022) – Police reported that injuries took place in a car crash that took place at an intersection in Acworth on Tuesday morning, January 11.

Cherokee Sheriff’s Office deputies reported that the accident happened at 7:44 a.m. in the morning at the intersection of GA-92 and Hunt Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, forcefully colliding with each other. The involved vehicles sustained heavy damages and had to be towed from the scene.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims were injured as a result of the collision. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their conditions are not known at this time.

The roadway was completely blocked at the intersection for some time as police worked to clear the scene. Police urged those in the area to avoid the intersection until the scene was fully cleared.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
