Athens, GA – Car Crash at College Station Rd & N Oconee Access Rd
Athens, GA (September 10, 2021) – At 3:43 p.m. on the afternoon of Thursday, September 9, a car crash with injuries occurred at an intersection in Athens.
According to the University of Georgia Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of College Station Road and North Oconee Access Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other. This caused extensive damages to the vehicles involved.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. One driver was taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
